Tax Information With A Twist

Tax Information With A Twist

Anyone who has ever visited an IRS office or their website knows they publish a lot of information. You can pick up or print copies of IRS forms and publications in no time.

You can even call a toll free number and get them to mail you tax materials. It couldn’t be easier. Probably the most requested form is the 1040. It is the one individuals use to file their personal income taxes.

The Form 1040, in my opinion, has another, far reaching, use that could help the user plan a money worry free retirement. Nobody wants to outlive their income and with proper planning nobody will.

If you analyze the Form 1040 through the eye of a financial planner, you will see it is a self contained financial planning tool. And all of the information on the form is supplied by the person completing the form.

That means you already know your financial picture and if a part of it isn’t right or no longer is adequate for your needs, you can change it. You could call the Form 1040 a goldmine of information.

If you are earning too much taxable interest, for example, you can switch some or all of the funds earning this taxable interest into an account, or accounts, that either pays tax free interest or dividends or grows tax deferred until you begin withdrawing from them. This becomes a no-brainer for the person scrutinizing their Form 1040 for ways to improve their financial health.

Fortunately a handy ebook titled “1040 Goldmine” has already analyzed this form and put the results into an easy to follow format that anyone can use. Since taxes aren’t disappearing from the landscape anytime soon, it becomes extremely prudent to build a retirement nest egg that will fit our particular goals and desires.

Using all of the available tools and resources at our disposal is not only smart but can be very, very financially rewarding. After all, if you use the information to fit your needs you are not only building for the future but constructing your today as it exists. Just keep trying to find tax information with a twist.
